Yaesu HF / 144 / 430MHz transceiver, FT847M, 50w machine. This model has a built-in fan that always rotates when the power is turned on, so dust tends to collect inside. This time, the transistor for disassembly, cleaning, adjustment, and heat generation is coated with new silicon grease, so it can be used simply by connecting the power supply and antenna. For some reason, the 100W specification of this model has fallen from the new spurious confirmation guarantee list, and you can not obtain a license unless you take measures against spurious.

Since this machine is a 50W machine (technical suitability number: KH255), you can receive "guarantee" via JARD / TSS as it is. We have made the following improvements to this machine.

Equipped with a TCXO with a stability of ± 0.5 ppm (external product). Since it is ± 2ppm in a standard crystal, 4 times the frequency stability can be obtained. Especially at 430MHz, I think it is highly practical. Since the MEM / VFO CH encoder, which is common in this model, was slippery, I disassembled it, cleaned it, and applied a proper contact restoration agent. Before listing, we completely disassembled and cleaned the dust taken in by the fan. In addition, new silicon grease is applied to all heat-dissipating transistors for HF / VHF / UHF to ensure stable heat dissipation as designed.

The front and rear fans have been changed to new ones. The microphone has also been disassembled, cleaned, and the contact of the PTT switch has been restored. In addition, reception sensitivity, spurious, carrier adjustment, etc.

Have been thoroughly inspected and adjusted according to the service manual. The operation check is as follows. Transmission frequency 1.8MHz-76MHz, 144-146MHz, 430-440MHz 7MHz new band expansion supported. Reception frequency 100KHz-76MHz, 108-174MHz, 420-512MHz. We have confirmed that the reception is equal to or better than that of the wireless device on hand.

The transmission output is measured by CW mode, a dummy load on hand and a power meter. There may be some error because it is not calibrated, but all amateur bands meet the rated output. Including the CB band, transmission is possible for non-amateur bands as well.

When using it, please comply with the laws of Japan and use it at your own risk.
