Portable HF Magnetic Loop MagLoop antenna with coverage of 10-80 Meters plus an. Option for a 2 Meter & 440 MHz loop handles 100 Watts PEP SSB on 10-40 Meters and VHF UHF. Also supported is 20W PEP SSB on 40/60/80 Meters when the included Booster Cable is installed on this MagLoop. How did we enable support of frequencies down to 80 Meters? By creating a total outer loop length of over 21 feet in a double loop configuration with the Booster Cable installed inline and in series with the Default Outer Loop, the Alpha MagLoop will enables 20W PEP SSB on 40/60/80 Meters.

How did we accomplish 100W power levels on 10-40M? We perfected each component and thus the antenna system as a whole enables the capacitor to handle 100 Watts PEP SSB on 10-40 Meters. How did we enable support for VHF UHF? Our antenna engineers designed our loop antenna with an option to achieve resonance on 420-450MHz and (with very little to no adjustment) to also resonate on 144-148MHz.

This makes the Alpha Loop more EFFECTIVE & EFFICIENT than any other manufactured MagLoop, as the Alpha Magnetic Loop is. More EFFECTIVE at getting your signal across on 10 to 40 meters using 100 watts PEP SSB = You Will Be Heard! More EFFICIENT on 40-80 meters using an outer loop that is over 21+ feet providing the most skin effect in a double loop configuration, which squares efficiency = You Will Hear & Be Heard! This MagLoop is a small (transmitting) magnetic loop antenna, so there are no taps on coils and no counterpoise wires needed.

This magnetic loop also has a knob that can be positioned. Of the loop by flipping the tuning unit over, which places the knob either on top or on the bottom of the tuning unit.

Attached to the knob is a built in tuner with a 6:1 reduction drive that allows you to easily tune the MagLoop. As portable magnetic loops are typically mounted close to the ground, we have designed these to have an oval shape with shallower sidelobes. This enables the antenna to project more of its signal skyward instead of off the side towards objects that will block your signal and cause additional losses.

Additionally, interference rejection is one of the favorite features of this antenna for many operators. At 100W PEP SSB, the Alpha Magnetic Loop antenna enables this MagLoop to be heard and be more Effective than any other manufactured portable MagLoop. Other portable magnetic loops just cant take the power needed to break through or make the trip.

When the the Booster Cable is installed a double loop is formed that narrows bandwidth, which is proof of increased efficiency. The outer loop then is over 21 feet in total length, which results in more surface area for increased skin effect and this also increases efficiency.

The result of both of these design features is an antenna that that is more Efficient than any other manufactured MagLoop on 40, 60, & 75/80 meters.
