ICOM R-8500 is a multimode wideband LF HF VHF and UHF receiver. Frequency range is 100KHz to 1999.999 MHz no gaps. Bandwidths are : WFM 150KHz, FM 12KHz or 5.5KHz. USB, LSB and CW 2.2KHz.

Tuning steps are : 10Hz, 50Hz, 100Hz, 1KHz, 2.5KHz, 5KHz, 9KHz, 10KHz, 12.5KHz. 20KHz, 25KHz, 50KHz 100KHz and 1MHz. Attenuator ranges are : 10dB, 20 dB or 30dB.

The receiver has two antenna inputs, a UHF connector for 100KHz to 30MHz and a N type connector for 30MHz to 1999.999MHz. The input voltage of the receiver is 230 VAC and it can also be powered also from 12 VDC external power supply about 1.5 amperes (not supplied).
