The modulation circuit of FT DX 1200 transceivers utilizes digital variation operational modulation, which creates ideal high quality transmission audio. The SSB Speech Processor uses IF digital signal processing to increase intelligibility.

The TX CW side tone pitch frequency can be adjusted in the MENU. The setting range is 300 Hz to 1050 Hz.

This tone pitch is used as the reference in transmission. Dial step setting (for the CW mode only).
